What is truSculpt™?
The benefits of non-invasive radiofrequency energy are gaining popularity in aesthetic treatments.
Radiofrequency energy can surpass the skin's surface and target underlying fat cells without damaging or injuring surrounding skin, connective tissues, nerves, or blood vessels.
Radiofrequency (RF) energy works by heating the subcutaneous fat layer to a temperature that destroys the fat cells.
During a truSculpt™ treatment, RF energy is delivered to the targeted area through a handpiece, causing the fat cells to heat up and break down. The destroyed fat cells then release their contents, which are gradually eliminated from the body over about 3 months through the lymphatic system, improving shape and body contours.
The heat generated by the RF energy also stimulates the production of collagen, a protein that helps to tighten and firm the skin. As a result, the treatment not only reduces unwanted fat but can also improve the appearance of the treated area by making the skin look smoother and tighter.
After a single treatment, about a 24% fat reduction is expected in the treated area after three months.

What is truFlex™?
truFlex™ is a cutting-edge technology used to build, tone, and contour muscles.
After a series of four treatments, there will be about a 30% increase in muscle mass 8 weeks after the final treatment.
truFlex™ uses electrical muscle stimulation to trigger deep muscle contractions. More specifically, this device uses MDS, or multi-directional stimulation, a unique method of electrical muscle stimulation to target specific muscle groups. Low levels of energy achieve deep muscle contractions that are more intense and effective at building muscle than typical workouts.
As a result, muscles will appear more defined and toned after a series of treatments.
Benefits extend beyond aesthetics, with clinically shown improvements to muscle strength, mobility and flexibility.
This device is superior to others in its class because it can treat multiple areas at once and has more variety in the type of contractions it delivers. In addition, it can be tailored to treat your current fitness level and to fit your specific body goals.
We recommend an initial series of 4 treatments and ongoing sessions every 2-3 months to maintain your results.
Common treatment areas include the abdomen, obliques, arms, calves, thighs (front & back), and buttocks.
Within 3-6 weeks, patients will begin to see changes in their muscles. An average of 30% increase in muscle mass is achieved 8 weeks after the final treatment.
You can resume normal activities immediately after treatment. However, some people report mild soreness, similar to that after an intense workout.
The treatment can usually take 15 minutes per area, but this will vary depending on how many areas that are being treated.
How Does a truFlex™ treatment feel?
truFlex™ treatments are non-invasive. You will feel your muscles contracting, with the sensation increasing in intensity.
SydneyWest Aesthetics recommends a series of 4 treatments. These treatments should be spaced 48 hours to 5 days apart.
Maintenance sessions are recommended every 2-3 months.
