APTOS thread lifts can treat many areas, from smoothing horizontal and vertical forehead wrinkles to lifting the brow and outer eyebrow area and restoring volume to sagging cheeks. They can also smooth lines around the mouth, tighten sagging skin under the lower jaw, and lift and rejuvenate various body parts.

Thread Lifts by APTOS Methods
As we age, the skin on our faces often loses its smoothness and firmness. Factors such as sun exposure, gravity, and daily facial expressions contribute to this decline. The skin naturally loses collagen and elastin, leading to dryness, thinning, and reduced elasticity. You may notice deep creases forming between the nose and mouth, a less defined jawline with sagging, and loose skin on the neck, which can blur the once-sharp contours of the face.
With growing awareness of these changes, the demand for non-surgical aesthetic procedures has increased. Many individuals are seeking minimally invasive, low-risk options to address the signs of aging. In this context, bioregeneration has become increasingly popular.
Among the various treatments available, Aptos Thread Lifting has been recognised to be both reliable and well-regarded over time. This innovative procedure uses specialised threads made from biocompatible materials to stimulate the skin's natural collagen production, improving firmness and elasticity. A unique aspect of this technique is that the practitioner manually repositions the skin and soft tissue to achieve a more youthful appearance before thoughtfully placing the threads. The threads feature barbs that securely anchor the tissue in place.
The absorbable materials used in Aptos threads gradually dissolve over 1.5 to 2 years, all while promoting the body’s collagen production. They maintain their holding strength for about six months, allowing sufficient time for the body to generate enough collagen to sustain the aesthetic outcomes.
The effectiveness of this treatment largely depends on an individual's ability to produce collagen. Generally, younger and healthier individuals tend to see better results. Nutrition and lifestyle factors also play a significant role in the effectiveness. Ideal candidates are typically aged between 35 and 55. Research indicates that around 70% of patients can expect the lifting effect to last 1 to 2 years, with the results often more durable in the midface than in the lower face, where muscle activity can have an impact.
The benefits of bioregeneration extend beyond the initial treatment session. Histological studies show that after the threads dissolve, they leave behind a collagen scaffold that continues to support the skin as it ages. The biostimulation provided by Aptos threads enhances skin firmness, elasticity, tone, texture, colour, and hydration.
Benefits include:
- Minimally Invasive: The procedure avoids incisions or cuts, making it a low-risk option with limited downtime.
- Immediate Results: Patients typically see an instant lift due to the manual repositioning performed by the practitioner during treatment.
- Long-lasting Effects: The support from the threads can persist for an extended period, as new collagen forms and integrates with the surrounding tissue.
- Natural Appearance: The gradual increase in collagen ensures that improvements look natural and age-appropriate, enhancing overall aesthetics.
Considerations:
- Maintenance: Results vary among individuals, so regular follow-up treatments may be necessary for optimal and lasting outcomes.
- As with any cosmetic procedure, it is essential to have a thorough understanding and seek expert guidance to ensure the best results. In our practice, a consultation with Dr. Hugo Ho is critical to determining whether Aptos thread lifting is the right choice for you.

Aptos threads have a further advantage by having different systems and methods to enhance any part of your body. Not everyone is the same, so why would the methods available be the same?

Cost of Aptos Thread Lifting
There are up to 30 types of threads in the Aptos range and over 50 different application methods. The cost of thread correction or APTOS lifting depends on the kind of thread, the method used, and the number of planned manipulations. This is always calculated on an individual basis. Thus an Aptos-certified doctor must assess you to determine the correction zones and the intended scope of work, after which the final cost is formed.

Consultation
It's vital to have a consultation before the procedure. The best candidates for thread lifting are aged 35 to 55 and have relatively good skin tone with a bit of sagging. However, surgery may be the best option if there is too much loose skin.
There is a wide range of Aptos threads available for various parts of the face and body.
Thread lifting can be combined with volume loss treatments, anti-ageing treatments and energy-based devices such as High-Intensity Focus Ultrasound and Laser to achieve enhanced results.
